Week of 8/14/23
1. This week we are starting our Poetry unit and beginning to read "Love That Dog" by Sharon Creech.
2. We are also starting Microphase Testing - this tells us what reading level your child is at so we can best help them!
3. Routines and Procedures.
Week of 8/21/23
1. We are continuing our Poetry unit by continuing to read Love That Dog by Sharon Creech.
2. We are going to explore famous poems by Robert Frost, Valerie Worth, and William Blake.
3. We will explore theme and the difference between poetry and prose.
4. We are also learning station rotation expectations.
Week of 9/4/23
1. We will be continuing reading Love That Dog
2. We will take our first ELA exam.
3. We will be learning how to write an introduction paragraph.
